Nik Szymanek (Drums & Percussion)

Well, since the good old Dragonfly days I've been in a selection of bands. Probably the most enjoyable was a progressive rock trio called Trilogy with Paul Dennis on guitar, keyboards and vocals, and Mark Bloxsidge on bass, keyboards and vocals. Heavily influenced by Rush, one of my long-time favourite bands, we played around the country in a variety of venues for about 5 years. Our most successful outing was a British tour with fellow prog-rockers Pallas and Solstice.

The next major group I played in was the Phil Hilborne Band, a rock covers band featuring one of the UK's leading guitarists Phil Hilborne, and Andy Frost on bass. I played with them for an intense two years of gigging at pubs, clubs, trade shows etc around the UK.

Later in the 90's I ended up playing in a band "Sabotage" with both Steve Heath and Mark Bloxsidge, featuring cover material from some of the best of British rock bands of the 70's. I still play drums recreationally but don't have any major projects planned. I'm hoping to get together with the other Dragonfly and Trilogy members with the possibility of re-recording some of the older material (and, perhaps, something new) and maybe even a few gigs.
